Ivo van Riet joins Halal
HALAL is bolstering its core team of internationally minded personnel with the recruitment of Executive Producer Ivo van Riet. The news follows the launch of HALAL's first office outside the borders of the Netherlands, and is a result of the company's expansion in the German market and further global ambition.
In the role of Executive Producer, Ivo van Riet brings with him a wealth of international experience gained from working across three continents. From Amsterdam to New York, Shanghai to Paris, Ivo's passion for creative excellence has invited him to work with some of the world's most pioneering talent on big scale productions for the likes of Mercedes, BMW, Rimowa and Levi's.
Having resided in Germany since 2017, he joins HALAL to manage its roster of talent in Berlin and further develop the company's local footprint. This local focus is complemented with attention on taking additional global steps. In a time of growth, Ivo will be part of the team expanding HALAL's international presence. It was recently announced that award-winning director Paul Geusebroek joins their NL roster of directors, in addition to Ryan Staake (DE roster) and Rogier Smalhout (worldwide). Photographers Fredrik Altinell and Tobias Faisst are fresh additions to the photography talent the company represents globally. Along with boosting its roster of international calibre, partnerships are being set up in various markets ensuring opportunities for its talent to grow on an international scale. The first out of which will be announced early 2019.
Ivo van Riet, Executive Producer, HALAL: "There is a worldwide curiosity and attraction towards NL talent. HALAL has consistently built a roster of extremely talented storytellers, and have given them global opportunities. German brands and agencies share that strive towards creative excellence on an international scale – the amount of awards picked up by German brands and agencies at global award-shows is a manifest to that. So I'm truly looking forward to matching our talent and expertise to that scale of jobs."
HALAL, consisting of a photography, fiction, documentary and commercial department, will continue to offer a diverse set of services, with Gonca Odabas at the helm of HALAL berlin's photography department.
